Hey! I'm Tunika, also known as tunika.png on many parts of the internet.
I want to keep this introduction as brief as possible because I find that they can be a bit tedious and I'm the type of person who rambles a lot. But what you need to know about me is that I'm an art student, going to study Integrated Media this fall in downtown Toronto, and was born and raised in Zimbabwe - mostly. I am a self-taught artist - again, mostly - and I specialize in photography, film and recently I've been digging digital drawing and painting too. I'm always overly-ambitious but also chronically procrastinating and it's a vicious cycle of disappointment and very little productivity. That covers the basics.
So this blog is a little different in that I'm not an expert at anything I'm going to talk about, but I think in a way that makes it better. I am just a normal person with sub-par talent levels but yet I've figured out how to make some really cool things and do pretty well at facing most of the challenges I've had so far in my life. I want to share with you the ways that I've managed to prioritize everything so that I am able to succeed at what I commit too but still enjoy my free time and slip up pretty often. I am hoping by doing this I can help you to understand what you need to do to get your life together and make some awesome art - if that's something you're into - and hopefully I'll be able to do some self-reflection and figure out how to improve on my own life. It's a learning process.
These posts are for creatives and artists, but also for young people with big goals that seem out of reach, or people who need a push towards their next goal. I'll be posting photography, filming and editing tips, lessons I've learned from messing up, how to to teach yourself skills, and how to grow as an artist, or a person in general.
If this sounds like something you're interesting in, or maybe just a little relateable, then go ahead and sign up to be notified when I post, and to get extra secrets and tips that I don't post here. If you want to get in touch for some help, or just say hey, then feel free to contact me. If you want to see what else I get up to, then check out my social media - more specifically youtube and instagram - for updates.
Thanks for reading, see ya in a bit!
